About SaveMedia
SaveMedia is a free, browser-based video downloader. You paste the link of a public post and save the video, Reel, photo, GIF or audio to your device – with no app to install and no account to create.
Why SaveMedia exists
Social platforms make it easy to watch and share, but not to keep a personal offline copy of something you are allowed to keep: your own clips, a tutorial you want to watch on a flight, or a reference you are permitted to use. SaveMedia gives you a simple, fast way to save media from public links, with a clear explanation of what works and what does not.
What you can save
- Facebook: public videos, Reels and photos.
- Instagram: public videos, Reels, photos and carousel slides.
- TikTok: public videos without the watermark, MP3 audio and photo slideshows.
- Pinterest: public pin videos, images and GIFs.
What SaveMedia cannot do
We only work with content that anyone can open without logging in. Private accounts, friends-only or group-only posts, Stories and Highlights are not supported, and we never ask for your social media password. Download quality can never be better than the original upload, and platforms change often, so an occasional link may fail. When that happens, our FAQ and guides explain the usual fixes.
How it works
- You copy the link of a public post from the app or website.
- You paste it into SaveMedia. Our server looks up the media file that the platform publicly provides.
- You preview it and click the download button. The file is streamed to your device; we do not keep a copy of it.
Privacy
No registration is required. Like most websites we may process technical data such as IP address and browser type for security, analytics and advertising – see our Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy for details. We use Google reCAPTCHA to reduce abuse and apply a fair-use limit per minute.
Responsible use
The media you save belongs to its creators. Use SaveMedia only for content you own, content you have permission to use, or personal offline viewing where the law allows it, and credit creators when you share. SaveMedia is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by Facebook, Instagram, TikTok or Pinterest; all names and logos belong to their owners. Rights holders can send requests through our DMCA Policy and Copyright Policy.
